Lessons From My Child is a collection of stories from parents of special-needs children from around the world. They tell us openly and honestly about the challenges and triumphs encountered while raising a child with intellectual or physical disabilities. Chapters are titled Grief, Denial, Anger, Depression, Acceptance, Empowerment, Marriage Family and Friends, Love and Joy, Spirituality, and Laughter. Each chapter begins with an expert psychological commentary on what parents may be experiencing at that stage. This is a book that will give comfort and reassurance to other parents who live with and love a child with a disability.
